Mahmoud is the founder of the Syrian LGBT movement and is now a refugee in Berlin. What brings them together is their decision to enter an international beauty pageant to escape their circumstances and break out of invisibility. Will they be able to realize their dream, or will the refugee crisis and the consequences of being gay in the Muslim world shatter it?
